Whether it’s lunch or a light snack in the bar, or a delicious meal in our highly rated restaurant, you’ll find a warm welcome at The Shoregate.
We are taking a short winter break to allow for staff holidays.
Thank you for all your amazing support throughout 2022.
The bar and restaurant are both shut but we will reopen on Saturday 28th January. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Our restaurant offers the best in locally sourced produce, creatively prepared to ensure you have a meal out to remember.
We sometimes get late availability. Please feel free to call us on 01333 45 18 15 during opening hours if there is no availability showing on the day you’d like to book.
Thursday: 18:00 – 20:30
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 12:30 – 14:30, 18:00 – 20:30
We are taking bookings online for up to 6 people until Christmas. If you would like to book for more than 6, please email us – email@example.com.
Credit card details must be provided to secure your booking. We would only make a charge if you cancel within 24 hours or do not show up for your booking.
Renewed but familiar, our historic back bar has a great selection of local ales, spirits from Fife and beyond, Scottish and Continental lagers, delicious cocktails and a wine list we hope will surprise and delight. Come for a drink or two, bring the kids, bring the dog and settle in for the afternoon, the evening, or both.
The bar opening hours are:
Wednesday to Saturday: 12:00 – 23:00
Sunday 12:30 – 22:30
We do not take reservations for tables in the bar online, but please call us on 01333 45 18 15 during opening hours or pop in. Dogs are very welcome in the bar, but not the restaurant, at all times.
We will have four bedrooms, each over 15m2, with king or super king-sized beds and large bathrooms with walk-in showers.
Three rooms are on the first floor, while the fourth occupies the whole of the top floor with views to the Isle of May and beyond.
We will be opening the rooms for general booking in the spring of 2023.
Due to the quirky configuration of the staircases in this historic building, The Shoregate’s bedrooms will not be suitable for guests who require assistance climbing staircases.
Whilst dogs are very welcome in the back bar, we will not be able to accept pets in the restaurant or to stay in our rooms.
