Lunch is available from 12:30 to 15:30 but we do not serve food in the bar in the evenings.

A pub for everyone
At the back of The Shoregate, our traditional pub was once the old smokehouse for the original 18th century merchant’s house.
Exposed stone walls, re-purposed pews from an old chapel near Lanark, stained glass from local artist Keny Drew and a real flame fire offer a warm welcome to all.
We offer a wide range of great drinks, including plenty of non-alcoholic options, along with award winning coffee from Van Dyke Brothers in Cromarty.
Good cocktails, and very good selection of wines by the glass. Highly recommend this place!!!! They put a lot of work into this place. Great atmosphere. The bar is also super cool and the bar staff are also amazing, as you would expect!

Fife and eastern Scotland has some amazing producers and we’re proud to stock drinks from the following:
Session Nights
Every two to three weeks, we host a traditional session night in the bar on Wednesdays.
Whether you’re a player or a listener, come along for a great evening of tunes and songs old and new.
Private hire
We are able to offer the bar on certain evenings each year for exclusive use after 19:30.
We can accommodate up to 40 people and require a minimum spend.

Children and dogs
Children are very welcome in bar at all times. We have a wide range of soft drinks and milk (plain or chocolate!). Ice cream is always available.
Dogs are very welcome in the bar but we ask they are kept off the furniture and are happy to be around other dogs. Water bowls and gravy bones are at the ready!
