Lunch you’ll love
Using the best ingredients from local suppliers, you can be sure of delicious, seasonal, filling fare, with a mixture of family favourites, bistro classics and some house specialities.
Choose between the bar, the dining room, or even outside (if the weather’s being kind) for your table.
Five stars for the delicious food and real Scottish ale. We had beautiful cod fishcakes and trout.

Catering for everyone
We always have several vegetarian options, some of which can be made vegan on request.
Many of our dishes are already, or can be created, gluten-free, but please let us know in advance if you have any intolerances.
Children and dogs
Children are very welcome in both the dining room and the bar at all times. A children’s menu is available on request. We have a high chair available.
Dogs are very welcome in the bar but are not allowed in the dining room. Water bowls and gravy bones are at the ready!
Larger groups
We are able to accommodate larger groups of up to 16 in the bar or 28 in the dining room for lunch.

Accessibility
All ground floor areas of The Shoregate are fully accessible.
Entry to the building and to the dining room is flat with wider access doors. There are 2 steps up to the bar, but a wheelchair ramp is available.
We have a wheelchair accessible toilet.
